    Hi everybody,

I'm new here and I've never used MorphOS before. I got a Mac Mini G4 but unfortunately without any keyboard.

Which keyboard models can you suggest me? Can I only use the four Mac keyboards which are mentioned in the FAQ on the MorphOS site (A1048, M7803, A1242 and A1243)?

No, you can also use others, see for instance:

Any standard USB keyboard will work. Some gaming keyboards doesn't though.

I use the Apple A1016 Bluetooth keyboard (no wires) which I had to initiate through the dual boot of my system as only the Mac has a Bluetooth stack, which is a pity it's lacking at present for MorphOS.

Anyway, once the two devices are paired then it holds onto the pairing even after resets/switch offs, so it's basically a fully integrated piece of kit for my Mac Mini MorphOS system and can be used some distance away from the Mac Mini along with my wireless trackball. ;-)

Thank you all very much. I got a used A1243 keyboard today. The Mac Mini I've bought works finde. MorphOS boots from CD and it's really amazing to see the Workbench like UI. :)

Now I need a mouse. Moving the mouse cursor with the keyboard keys works like expected like with the Amiga keyboard but it makes me tired. :D

Virtually any USB mouse/trackball should work OK, at least all the ones I've used, even some of the cheap USB ones have been OK.

As other already said almost all usb keyboards work. I uses some no name keyboard for a while and then bought an Apple A1242 which I like very much. I prefer it over a wireless keyboard because of the inbuild 2 port usb hub.
As with most Apple hardware it's rather well build and it's nice to type on it. Unfortunately only abvailable used today.

I'm using an old plain ordinary USB keyboard that once belonged to a Dell PC ... works fine.

And a Logitech wireless trackball 'mouse' , that uses a USB receiver ... also works fine.

As does a generic USB hub ....

I have an "el-cheapo" noname keyboard that works with MorphOS itself, but not with the MacMini firmware, making it impossible to use this for MorphOS installation from CD since I can't get it to boot from it.
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

I like the Apple a1048 keyboard which is nice and big and very durable and reliable.
