Hello guys, lately i'm using morphos more than ever, and the thing i noticed hte most, was when using owb for long period of time(like half day) and with many tabs(only 4 or 5) i have seen that the free memory available descend to 400mb even to 200. Closing owb won't release the memory, at least not all, so i was asking if there is some tool that can free the memory like it was used in the classic. I remember i used a program on my 1200 that when executing it, would free the majority of ram in the system. Are there another ways to do it?. Per se it's not an issue because morphos boots fast, but i would like to know if it's possible at least to extend the session time until it is needed to reboot.
And by the way, kudos to the MorphOS team for the upgrade, as every day it passes i'm more convinced that it was the best "amiga" purchase i ever did.
    Thanks in advance!!!

Well, you can press F12 in OWB to free up a little memory. That's all I know.

Open a shell window and execute avail flush in it.
It frees all avail unused libraries and mui classes.

Thanks a lot for the replies. Will try the avail flush command the next time i'm on my mac mini. I recall that command from the 3.x classic os, isn't it or was an addon byt third parties?.

I made the command to be execute from a script, but here's my question: How will I make the script autoexecuted when avail. ram is below 25% and while avoiding the command to full in a loop?

Unfortunately, the mac mini doesn't get more than 1gb of main ram. Is there anyone out there who have modded it to get more?. Is possible?

You don't need avail flush. MorphOS will flush libraries and resources if an allocation comes along it can't fit. AmigaOS selectively freed resources and MorphOS is even more optimised.

Flushers used to annoy the hell out of me on Amiga. AmigaOS has one of the most simple memory systems out there but people couldn't seem to understand it; they were just fixated on getting that Workbench titlebar to show as high a number as possible. The price of that was constant reallocation so causing memory fragmentation, and a system slowdown because they had to keep reloading all the libraries they kept flushing.
