I am sorry to announce that Dale Sidebottom, a friend and father-in-law has passed away.

I have known dale since my early 20's. I am now 50.
I wanted a ride to a local computer club for the Commodore 64/128 group known as Lucky (Louisville Users of Commodore of Kentucky) and gave one of their officers a call who happened to live in New Albany. That was in 1987.
Dale showed up. Over the next 2 years Dale and I developed 2 software titles for the GEOS operating system for the C64/128; goLabel and geoPrint. I don't think either of us expected the fame that followed. Dale went on to Lead the Lucky club and to publish a worldwide magazine for the club. We attended almost every expo from Michigan to Chicago and one time to Ontario,Canada. Even with the death of Commodore Business Machines in 1994 we continued to be loyal to our 8 bit machines for almost 20 years.
In 1992 or so I married his daughter and have one son (Chris) who is now 22. Chris just finished his certification as a computer programmer.
Dale went on to attend IUS after retiring from the Post Office and to receive a degree in Philosophy and to publish his first conservative book "The threat of modern slavery in America". I believe he was writing a second book to combat Obamacare.

His website can be found here:

The title of the website 'First Do No Harm' is taken from a famous doctor, but commonly mistaken as part of the hippocratic oath.

Total dedication to retro computing, however, we didn't take up retro, we just never left it in the first place. 20+ great years I will not forget.
