    hi,

how can I disable that the powerbook shuts down, when the lid is closed?
Now I have to have the lid a little bit open to prevent a shutdown after some minutes, would be nice if I could close it completly!

Nothing to disable. It if shuts down, it means it overheats. Keeping the lid closed seriously impairs the cooling so if your fans aren't in a good shape or the thermal grease under the cpu/mb/gfx is rusty, such things are bound to happen. MorphOS, sadly, produces more heat than OS X running on the same machine.

This may be (one of) the reason(s):

Because the Radeon chipset always runs in full speed.

In noticed that when the lid is closed and my PowerBook is on battery, it will shut down after a few minutes.
When it is plugged on the power supply it won't.

Could it produced more heat because of the battery usage?

A (dis)charging battery will produce additional heat, so yeah that makes sense.

And I guess it doesn't in MacOS. Is this something MorphOS can fix?

As soon as our resident shaman figures out how ;)

Still, this is not really a problem if your PowerBook's cooling is functioning OK.
