Quake error

    Hi,

    I got Quake but when I start it I get the error " couldn't load gfx.wad" That file is in the directory. Anyone got any ideas?

    i think youre talking about quake 1
    wich version did you install?? i have mine from clickbooms nightlong cds no probs here.

    afaik, Quake needs following:

    Quake exe, in any directory.
    In the same directory, subdirectory containing files PAK0.PAK and PAK1.PAK (Config file & saves are also stored there)

    In addition to those, maybe a few libraries...

    Have you tried, if Snoopdos would say, what might be missing?

    No, it's not, but I think, there's demo version out there...
