    Hi Dudes!

This is the kind of news I wanna read after a hard day work! :D

My PPC is a PPC@260 + 040@33 -REV0- card. Will GREX work on this revision? Im planning in change the crappy mediator for a GREX if there is any chance to get the combo working.

Best Regards and Thank you MOS TEAM!

EDIT: If BVISION is working with REV0 PPC, then I m getting one, better than GreX because I dont want PCI slots at all.

I wouldn't risk spending money on a GREX if I had a rev0 PPC. It's known to have problems with GREX.

BPPC Rev.0 work with both BVision and G-REX.
But some cards can make troubles.

I have the Bvision of a friend just here....

I cant test now since my 1200 is in parts ( maybe tomorrow ) but I can see the Bvision in the earlymenu listed 6 or 7 times.

Is it important? Its supossed this card has to show earlymenu through the vga output?

Sorry, but i never ever had any Bvision, and the info I got in google is contradictory

There are two different rev0... as weird as it sounds.
One works with the BVision but the other doesn't.
I don't think there is an easy way to differentiate them.

I think no rev0 works reliably with the GRex.

Also, expect more problems if your card is overclocked.

Yeah, the card is overclocked but, i will restore its original speed value since I dont need any speed update on the 040 anymore.

I wish I can get it to work with Bvision and bring the thing back to desktop state.

1200, PPC, Bvision, scsi, ethernet. All I have ever wanted!

Use to drive CISC nuts.
You forgotten how my A1200 was set up before I towered it? Only reason for towering was I added a Subway. I have it networked with the Pegasos now.

    Hi Folks !
2 years ago I send both of my Bppc cards rev0 to DCE to upgrade them to rev2. It was free, just the transport to pay.
I'm sure that they still have the tools, but don't answer anymore about that at the phone or by email.
What I suggest you if you are a luck warrior, it is to send your card to DCE in a registred and insured packet with a letter to ask them to upgrade the card to rev2, and a cheque of 16e+the price to send it back labelled to Thomas Dellert - DCE.
Check the DeutschPost site for the transport
That's what I did 2 years ago, and they both works well with GREX and Bvision :-)

    Anyway.

Im a hardcore MOS user since 2003, first in Peg1 and now in Peg2. Its my joy and pride for everyday purpouses.

Although its quite possible that I cant get, finally, the Bvision to work on my system (how i regret to having a mediator), Im donating some cash for the PUP version.

I think its really great news for all of us, even we dont own an PUP card anymore or our configuration doesnt mach the requirements. MOS scene is alive, and this release make credit for that.

Thanks Piru, Itix, Jada, Henes...and all involved.

Dudes, if you have some spare cash, donate and invite the MOS team to have a beer! They and their work deserves it

    use the updated CGX4 library.

Anyway... why test the BVision with WB3.9 when you can test it with MOS1.4.5? :-)

    @frank :
you have a double flash to do to upgrade rev0 to rev2.
The rom that you can do and you have to do.
and a special flash of a PAL/GATE logic array that can't be done by classic software.

And it's much more stable for BVision :-D

it's a PAL/GAL cms chip close to the CPU. It only need to be reprogrammed... But you need to find a rev2 and someone skilled enought to copy its content and to flash it into your card.
    Normally it's not "protected".

Why don't you send it to AmigaCenter for repairing ? 603e cpu can be easily found on MAC and BULL system (up to 350 Mhz).

Higher versions have other voltage. I know that at least 250 MHz chip will work.
