    You can get screengrabs by using SGrab. Usually for MAME screengrabs, I run the game in a window with no sound. Then, it is a little easier to time the grab. (Use the window option from SGrab).

    Interestingly, SGrabPPC (included with sgrab) saves to the PNG format. Thus, a simple resize and rename will turn it into an icon.

    The easiest way to make a snapshot is to use the built-in function. Go to the tab-menu-> input (general) and see which key is assigned to the snapshot function. Then just press it while you play, and snaps will be saved in snaps/ directory.

    Very nice icons in the screengrab! How do they work in comparison to the ones I've already pumped out?

    I used a MAME: assign, because it also makes life easier in the shell when typing. I would much rather type "Mame:" than "cd $mamepath".

    @everyone else:
    for the mamecons: do you want the "joypad" option in the scripts by default, of left out by default?

    Anyway, tokai, don't stop work on your icons, they are really neat!

    Ha! spam ;-) Hey, I like your icons. I think I may change the ones I have created to use a simular method to yours (then apply the same kind of script to the ones you have done). Who says people will not want both? :-)

    How do you pronounce MAME... is maym, mah-mi, mammy, maymi ?

    What does MAME run? How robust is this amiga MAME emulator compared to windows MAME emulators?

    I have my Peg and Catweasel MK3 working with MAME .69 MOS and joystick! You need Guido M's new lowlevel.driver for MOS. You also need latest Open pci software. There is another forum on this with full instructions...

    Oh oh vincent x... if you plan on running Mame you better plan on owning the Arcade games or Roms of them that you are going to emulate. Its "illegal" to do so without that. Kind of like running Mac On Linux!
