I have problems with Miami + built in nwcard too.
I got miami and dialup working without much probs,
but with the rhine.device miami hangs forever looking for IP addresses, and takes the hole
    MUI system with it.

I have a PhreeBoard (no april) and MOS 1.3.

To put long story short: via_rhine is piece of ####. Put in a Realtek card and be happy.

Can't. I battled with the broken driver for a day .. it really is just what I said. After installing Realtek card and drivers for it, everything's worked as it should.

Also, I have heard older versions works better than the new ones.

    Hello cartohagen,

    The Via_Rhine...device of MOS1.3 isn't good.
On the FTP site you can download another one.

Further on you have to do the following (just once) after initialisation of the Via...device in MiamiDX:

    - Go to Hardware
    - Select your defined interface and click on Edit
    - Click on the button SANA-II parameters ...
    - Now you have to push the button Query device until you see the right Mac adress in the field Hardware adress (otherwise you'll see a bunch of zero's in this field)
    - Click on Override

After this you don't have to worry anymore, atleast I don't! :-D

    Good luck,

    ok..i'll check it out.

    >- Go to Hardware

did all this also, when i push the query button
miamidx quits after it finds the mac address, the address is shown aprox. 2 secs, so i repeated query and wrote down numbers, query button again and wrote more numbers and entered them manually :)

internet and network are working fine, its just
bugs me about the miami panel not working..
i've seen other's miami panels working..
