Tonight I am going to put MOS to my old 1200 (Blizzard 603e/200 + BVision). Unfortunately I have only 64 MB ram. Should run, but well, not much more I guess...

So I checked ebay already for ps2 modules. But something deeply hidden in my brains said "attention, the Blizzard was quite as ram picky as the pegasos1 is, was'nt it?".

Well, long words, short message: Any rules available to check if a very type of ram works *b4* purchasing it?

What about mixing modules, single/double sided, maximum size of a module, etc...

www.efunzine.com has some BlizzardPPC compatible modules for sure. See http://www.efunzine.com/efnz.php?a=pro&id=68 (yeah, the site is in polish but you can safely contact them in english, or look for ravek on freenode).

I had not such problems as with Peg1 Modules. But someone on ebay sells 128 modules (~ 30 Euro) for Blizzard cards that works with BPPC as well.
Mac mini, PowerPC G4 1.5 GHz, ATI Radeon 9200 64 MB, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB HDD, MorphOS 3.18
PowerBook, PowerPC G4 1.67 GHz, ATI Radeon 9700 128 MB, 2 GB RAM, 250 GB mSATA HDD, MorphOS 3.18

that depend of the rev of your BPPC.
A low cost solution is to get 128Mb 36bits ECC simm for HP it is about 10-15$ us.
But, depending of your card, you won't be able to use 2 of them togheter !! :-D
But you can mix : 128 +32 or 64 without problems here.
    Keep the Faith !

Maybe one day a G4 AmigaONE when they will be debugged and without April...

I have MorphOS 1.4.5 running on my A1200 with 64mb RAM. Seems a bit flakey, but I am wondering if it's due to overheating (lots of PPC usage?) or lack of RAM. It is a standard A1200 casing with internal 160Mhz604e+50Mhz 68060, internal Ultra ATA controller, internal 3.5" HDD (no floppy though)... runs 100% with AmigaOS 3.5, boots about 50% of the time with MorphOS...

I reckon it really is overheating :(

Afaik there was no 604e for A1200 models. The 160 MHz 603e on the other hand is the low-end blizzardppc model. Have you tried Bladerunner's settings to speed it up?

    sorry, that was a typo

oddly I get a pause of about 1 second for every icon, menu items etc that I click on... I figured it is possible it is due to memory flushing or something like that, gfx speed is quite ok itself, unless there is a lot of overhead in preparing the graphics before displaying them.

    what are bladerunners settings?
