An idea... maybe a 86x emulator for MOS can be a good thing for a bounty?

Exist some emulator for 86x for MOS, Bochs and DosBox, but they are SLOOOWWW! :-D But I think they are useful...
Many of them are porting, but maybe a bounty can persuade someone to develop a 86x emulator for MOS, capable to use better our OS, and make them ever fast and stable. :-P Or at least porting quickly last versions of these portable emulators, MOS versions appear late respect Linux/Windows releases. :-(

Think this will be interesting for MOS.

XpostfaxtO would be indeed a great pice of software for pegasos but needs first a working OpenDarwin Port. Maybe it could be possible to make a single boot.img that can start a MacOS CD or HDD. Well, we will see.

Not needed. Since we use the same processor as OS X there is absolutely no sense to emulate it.

Regarding MOM (MacOnMos): It's not possible with the current state of MOS. We need to wait for the appearance of some kind of public Q API, since it will hardly need MMU capabilities which is not handled within the ABox but in Q.

    XPostFacto

Its a kind of Wrapper for old Powermacs and Clones to install and run MacOS X on these machines. Because they are no longer supported by Apple.

You install MacOS 9 and then XPostFacto or similar like that. Havent any old Powermac for testing. It runs also with 128 MB. Slow but it runs.

    I want to port QEmu!!!

QEmu is the fastest X86 Emulator...with that you can be 5 times slower than a real X86 so It's correct ;-)
It can be also a "box" where you can run linux applications.
    :-D

Not bad but MacOS needs no CPU Emulation and would be faster.

An teorically how much fast should be a Windows program on Pegasos/MOS whit this emu?
And it can support Direct 3d or OpenGL?

Well, I think only if it's enough fast, should really rock play some 3d game on pegasos trought emulation! :D
(well, maybe today we can't do that well, but sure ly this appen in near future...)

:pint: :pint: :pint: Well, true, i think only to play. :pint: :pint: :pint:

lol first we must have an opengl on MOS before doing a opengl wrapper...But be sure It won't be quick enough to play games but just use office tools :p

Any software whitout Direct 3d should work (using software rendering at least).

mmm... depends how good will the emulation... often i run some games for 600/800 ghz CPU, using a Pentium 3 450 Mhz. Well, they don't run very fast, and many options must disabled or reducted for gain fast, but they still playable.

If an emulator can match a discreet fast (or at least... near a minimal requisite), well, playing a "near modern" title should be possible... i think see Blizzard's "Diablo" (or "Diablo 2") on Pegasos via emulation should be... interesting. :-D

hum you can't expect a quick enough emulation to run X86 games...Windows is a ####in slow and fat system...consuming memory and cpu :(
