    Hi,
this is the first time I update morphos from 3.15 to 3.16
I just need to select during installation
    "update" ?

for libraries such as "SDL" downloaded from "morphos zone" how does it work remain unchanged or do I have to do something else?

    Thanks for any suggestions,

and thanks again for your work and this new morphos update.

Yes, select the update option in the installer. If you haven't installed anything in the SYS:MorphOS/ (you have installed SDL libraries to SYS:Libs/ etc) then it all should go well and your own settings and 3rd party software will be preserved. This is a cool solution in MorphOS, it doesn't mix its own files and additional 3rd party files and that makes updating quite fool-proof.

And if you have made something with SYS:MorphOS/ directory (you really shouldn't), the old files are backupped to SYS:MorphOS_xxxxxx and you can dig out stuff from there always.

I did the update without any problems.

i just removed "ramfix" from wbstartup
I hope that's right, because the fix should already be included in morphos 3.16

    I hope ? :-)
    otherwise I put it back

But I need to go a step back...
Updating MorphOS on my X5000: Do I have to put the USB-Image on an USB stick or is there also a way to update MorphOS from the running installation itself...?

    Thanks!

You should use an USB key for that.

To be clear you need to boot an official MorphOS media (CD/USB/..) to install, update or repair MorphOS!
