I did some research, on ebay, of a graphics card ati radeon mac edition, for a powermac g5 that could be given me if another user is not interested. Here they are.

The first one, https://www.ebay.fr/itm/Carte-Graphique-Power-Mac-G5-Radeon-9600/323803218871?hash=item4b642d03b7:g:loMAAOSwL89c1Z7P , at 35 € without graphic memory quantity. Possible 64 Mb for the low price. The second, https://www.ebay.fr/itm/ATI-Radeon-9600-XT-128-MB-AGP-ADC-DVI-for-Apple-PowerMac-G5/163693947505?hash=item261ceb6a71:g:vAYAAOSwNcZcpKxq , at € 50 with 128 Mb of graphic memory. The third, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ATI-Radeon-9600-XT-64MB-AGP-ADC-DVI-for-Apple-PowerMac-G5/183786524145?hash=item2aca87cdf1:g:qPoAAOSwozpcpK-E , at 40 € with 64 Mb of graphic memory. The fourth, https://www.ebay.fr/itm/Powermac-G5-Ati-Radeon-9800xt-256mb-AGP-Pro-DVI-ADC-Video-Carte-Graphique/163680551903?hash=item261c1f03df:g:UYQAAOSwhfRcLX6W , at € 142.32 with 256 Mb of graphic memory. The fifth, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-630-4695-603-3252-PowerMac-G5-Radeon-9600-Pro-64MB-AGP-ADC-Graphics-Card/163279204239?hash=item260432ef8f : g: 1f0AAOSwviFbvIS6, at 45.63 € with 64 Mb of graphic memory.

If you have a PCIe system, there is a Radeon X1950XTX for sale on eBay for $99.95.

Isn't this thread about genuine "Apple" graphics cards? For PCIe-based G5 systems this should be the Radeon X1900GT then.

That is only required for firmware prompts, although that is the card I have in my Quad G5.

...as well as the boot menu and Mac OS X. Either way, I think Brumiga had his reasons to restrict the thread topic to "genuine Apple graphic cards".

It looks exactly like mine Radeon 9600 with 64MB VRAM. So i'm almost sure that's 64MB version.

Or maybe he's worried about using flashed cards for anything before the R500s.
Which, if you're looking at 9600s is really important, because these work horribly when PC 9600 cards are re-flashed.
