Somehow spam gets posted to this forum. Is there someone looking after it?
    Cheers

Maybe a simple captcha on new user registration would be enough to get rid of nasty spambots?

Captcha - cool idea! At best with Google captcha such that no MorphOS OWB user can use it anymore ;-)

    @ koszer

There used to be a captcha check. It did not entirely prevent spam posts either. Most spam registrations are in fact blocked with the current system as well.

That said, tweaking the registration process is being looked into as the amount of bot registrations has gone up by quite a bit after the recently increased coverage of MorphOS on the internet. Even if less than 1 percent get through, it can still be disruptive if the absolute number of registrations is high enough.

The links section in this area will be removed...

Just because you personally would like to see certain links added there, this does not mean there is any obligation to add them.

Sigh. We just revamped MorphOS Library, which is part of MorphZone, as recently as two weeks ago.

If nobody was managing this website, you would literally be staring at a frontpage filled with spam posts right now.

This is one area I'd have to support Andre.
The team does a very good job of maintaining all the sites connected to this OS.

I even received a message from Ralph at one point when I inquired about an older registration.

So the question really becomes, how much work do you guys expect for free?

I say the spamming problem has become quite burning lately.
