Not until know I did realize that there is a Folio donate page. So if you want to, here you go: klick

Hopefully the development of this very useful piece of software continues!

Why is it not on the main Morph Zone Bounties page -> MorphOS Bounties :-?

Why is there just a DONATE button on the page - seems a little weird/dubious that way. :-(

As I would feel happier if it was more directly supported by the main MorphOS Development Team Bounty scheme, as it's an intrinsic application for any Operating systems useability these days, and one that we are in great need of becoming a reality.

I'd support Folio's development if I knew (trusted) the page you pointed out. ;-)

    @NewSense

Ignoring that the bounty page is as dead as the Dodo, it would also be the wrong way round.

Bounties are for withholding funds till a developer realizes a certain set of features, a donut-button is for awarding him based on allready achieved things.

I don't consider the Bounties page to be as dead as the pre-verbial Dodo, as I know I contributed there a while ago, but I'd like to see v3.10 released to spur me on to donate some more to one, or more of the features we'd all like to see implemented, and Folio would fit in there nicely along with the fully supported printing package that Zukow is/was working on, that's supposed to be implemented in v3.10? However, we are all still waiting for that version 3.10 to be released.

Well, as I already donated I can confirm via the Paypal Receipt Notice that the donation goes straight to André Siegel's account, who is ASiegel, who is the programmer of Folio. ;-)

Andre has created something many of us have requested and he deserves some support to bring the software out of beta.

I agree with you. I have tried Folio a little bit and it looks nice. I donated a little amount to help further it along.

I tried to send/donate some money, via the link in the #1 thread, but when I got onto the PayPal page, as I have other accounts to choose from the accounts list and their details overfilled the text limit of the PayPal column, and so the page started going up and down like a "Kangaroo" or Yo-Yo, as it seems they have sort of Word-Wrap that Wraps ON/OFF and I couldn't click the links/buttons I wanted to opt for as the page was UP, then DOWN continuously - basically all over the place. :-x

If I was to send some money to . . . folio [-at-] morphos-user.com via the usual "Send Money To Friend" through PayPal would that money/donation get to you that way André?

[EDIT] As well as that . . . the Donate text link may be in English, but then the PayPal link is managed only in Deutsch/German,

So, any chance of arranging an English "Donate" link? :-?

OK, I've sent a small donation (direct through PP), as I'd really like to see any more progress you make with your proof-of-concept, and I'll have more donations to pass you, as/when there's more obvious progress.

Maybe the OWBSlave mentioned by jacadcaps (stripped down OWB, used in Iris for displaying html view of e-mails) could be used by Folio so that it wouldn't have to be opened by OWB?

It has been discussed at least but this is something to revisit after MorphOS 3.10 is released.

Is there any more news on an updated version of Folio to be announced soon, seeing as MorphOS v3.10 has now been released? ;-)
