Loading is slow here from this link. Some faster ones directly from the NXP website:

    https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/supporting-information/DWF13_AMF_NET_T1021.pdf (August 2013)
    https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/supporting-information/DWF13_AMF_NET_T1021_Ottawa.pdf (October 2013)

"800–2133 Mbps" according to page 9 of the document tlosm mentions.
The documentation you've pointed to mentions a slightly slower max "800–1866 Mbps" for the T10xx.

So he may have a point, but I doubt this is providing too much performance degradation.

i think the qoriq cant have faster ram speed because not designed for desktop use but for networking.
freescale is just upgrading the ram controller for use the actual rams because use old one will made prize more hight for customers

That's the official JEDEC spec numbers for DDR3.

    > The documentation you've pointed to mentions a slightly slower max "800–1866 Mbps"

My first linked document (which is the same as linked by Spectre660) shows DDR3 spec, while my second linked document shows DDR3L spec instead, hence the difference in max value.

    I don't think so.

OK, the JEDEC spec would translate into what kind of bandwidth figures?

Wow, agreed, there appears to be significant room for improvement. My bad.

I just bought a G4 Mac Mini for my son... he's decided after 7 years of living apart to partially inherit my Morphos Addiction. So just in time for Christmas I got him a 1.42ghz with 1gig... This thread gave me more then enough data. Thanks

Observation of low memory performance on boards with e6500-based CPUs:

    https://community.nxp.com/thread/467386

2 years ago i was say exactly the same about e5500 P5020 and P5040. "low memory performance like a penium 4 first generation" but everyone from a-eon ignore me in beginning and joke me in the end ....

really happy because i sold everything and close this bad experience.

Even if there will be a version of MorphOS for Quad G5 (which is not likely) it won't be really so much better performing than currently supported top-of-the line G5 (except for the gfx speed of course). For example the Kraken Benchmark result was 108643.5 ms on G5 DP 2,7 GHz (MorphOS 3.9, OWB 1.24) vs 114303 ms on G5 QC 2,5 Ghz (MorphOS beta, OWB 1.24).

I think the main advantage of the Quad G5 (and other PowerMac11,2 systems) over currently supported G5 systems is clearly the ability to use rather modern, easily obtainable PCIe graphics cards (even non-Mac ones with some restrictions).

Yes and no, RadeonHDs don't work out of the box in PowerMac11,2. Proper init code needs to be written/fixed. So it's not the case: cards works in Sa,460, it will work in G5 PCIe.

btw. I'll have current version of MorphOS on G5 PCIe with RadeonHD card during

GCN Gen1 compatibility doesn't surprise me.
    How about Gen2 like an R7 260X?
