    Hi ThePlayer

The Ramdisk icon is in sys:prefs/env-archive/sys/def_RAMdisk.info

copy this file to ram: as disk.info
    snapshot the ramdisk icon
then copy disk.info back to def_RAMdisk.info
    this should work

I'd like to snapshot my digital cameras icon. The problem is that the "drivename" changes everytime. As seen in here: http://koti.phnet.fi/yh14756/statbar.jpg

ALL numbers change.. any suggestions? ;-)

    Hi hooligan,

Isn't this the same as snapshotting shared drives with Samba?

    That drive, isn't that UMSD:?

    - Copy a disk.info on that drive (your digital camera)
    - Place it somewhere on Ambient
    - Snapshot
    - Copy the disk.info to sys:prefs/env-archive/sys as def_UMSDdisk.info

If you can't copy files onto your digital camera, do it then with a harddisk:
    - Rename your original disk.info from your harddisk
    - Copy the desired disk.info onto your harddrive
    - See above
    - As last step, rename your original disk.info back

    Bye,

    Spidey

    @ThePlayer:
It's one of the oldest tricks in Amiga land...;-)

    1) snapshot it where you like,
    2) copy the disk info over the HD (i.e- s:)and,
    3) make a script so it copy from there everytime it boots... (i.ecopy s:disk.info ram:)

    hope it helps
