is there a way to do this..that way one can test to see if overclocking has been achieved?

    @TheMagicM

IIRC there are several tools that should reveal the
clockspeed, even some 68k ones like "SysSpeed".

Also, if you click on "About" in your Ambient
menu, it will tell you the clockspeed somewhere
in there (toward the bottom of that window, I
    believe).

but sysspeed would not be accurate correct? it will not say 600mhz... and I assume the mhz in Ambient will be realtime, not a hard coded value based on what speed the processor/mobo reports it is?

I'll double check when I get home, but I'm near positive
that at least SysSpeed reports the PPC clockspeed fairly
    accurate (and not hard coded).

OK, I just checked SysSpeed, and the program has a
provision for measuring PPC clock. It reports mine
as 599 MHz. It also has some specific "benchmark"
tests for the PPC (so you can check your overclock
    that way, too).

And I also forgot a few...the shell command "CPU"
gives the clockspeed, and also the benchmark program
    "AmigaMark".

Anyways -- If you manage to clock up your Pegasos,
please let us know the details! :-)
