    Hello folks.

    Chrysalis Pack 3.7.1 problem.

Well I downloaded the ISO and installed it upon the latest MorphOS release.

    How?

I mounted the ISO, hit install, downloaded fonts... It would then asked me the destination folder -yes where my MorphOS system is installed-.

It extracted and installed at once (unlike the previous versions I remember).

AFTER it will finish the process it will THEN show a window -extract has now finished install will now begin-. I press OK but then it goes straight to the reboot later or now window.

It is clear that the process finishes... Extract and install at once, no matter what the message in the window says.

ANYWAY. I reboot it has been installed.

BUT when I try to reach the menus, I notice only the old MorphOS menus, yes the ones on the upper bar. NO extra menus like on previous versions (for example Audio / Video etc).

Have downloaded the ISO from two different locations and under various OSes: On MacOSX (intel) and MorphOS even on Windows.

Have tried to rename my volume form System to MorphOS.

Have tried to point exactly the volume on the installer (System OR MorphOS) instead of leaving the default (Sys:).

    No change.

    Menus are gone....

I am trying this on a PowerMac G4.

No I have not tried it in any other system (yet).

    Any suggestions?

Ambient Edit View Icons Utilities Settings

So those are the menus appearing on the menu bar? No extra additions. Is this normal?

ps. Installed on another machine same symptoms.

I have downloaded the iso (very slow...)

    You must edit this file:

    sys:wbstartup/crabum.rexx

at line 124, add a ' character at the beginning of the line then save and reboot.

Sorry for this error, there is no problem with the french version of the menu.

I have a bizarre problem with the installation script, it doesn't delete this file :

    sys:wbstartup/crabum.rexx_fr

and i understand why, somebody has an idea ?

    You can delete manually too.

    Hello again.

I wanted to ask if it is possible to install the pack on another partition and not the default which is the one that MorphOS is already installed.

On another machine which I am installing my MOS partition is 1 giga, install software will not allow me to proceed, saying it needs more disk space.

I however got a very big Work partition. It is not possible to change the partition map, other OSes are installed as well.

Please let me know if this is possible.

    Thanks.

    Hi CountRaven,

    you could try this :

    - launch installer script of the pack
    - select Work: partition for destination
    - finalize installation
    - Move all drawers to sys: except Applications, Emulators and Games drawer which you keep on Work: partition.

The menu and launch bar prefs should be edited to correct paths.

    Should work...

    Thanks for the tip.

However I propose in future versions, each part of the pack (for example games) to be allowed to be installed in different places, like it was happening in older versions.
