I would like to disable sending HTTP-REFERER header but did not find an option to do so.
I guess it's not possible, nothing in the prefs and no env-variable available for this purpose.

I wonder why this basic feature isn't implemented in OWB.

Or maybe i'm too blind to see it :-?

I'd like to see that too and also an option to refuse 3rd party cookies and DNT support would be great additions.

Cookies can be disabled in "Settings" -> "OWB" -> "Privacy". Or isn't that what you mean?

Not quite as that disables all cookies. Firefox has an option to only allow cookies from the originating site and refuse 3rd party (tracking) cookies, I think Chrome and Safari have the same thing too.

Thanks for explanation. I wasn't quite sure was "3rd party" meant in this regard. And indeed, your feature request makes sense to me.

You can filter cookies as you like with url settings. You can indeed set a filter to reject unwanted cookies (by name/pattern) for given domains.

Additionally, the content blocker also allows to reject some tracking scripts if needed (such as the ga.js or whatever it's called).

Try doing with what's already in before asking new features. :)

What I am after is something simple like this: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/disable-third-party-cookies

Blocking specific cookies per specific domain is a powerful feature but too complicated for little old me. :)

I've enabled the Adblock setting in Odyssey and am have the HTTP_PROXY environment variable set to go through Pivoxy on localhost:8118 which blocks most crap but would like a simple checkbox to refuse all 3rd party cookies like the one in the above link if it is possible for you to add it at some point without you having to go to too much trouble?

edit: I've also got the following added to my ENVARC:Sys/net/hosts file too:

    http://someonewhocares.org/hosts/hosts

Not that I'm paranoid or anything! ;)

Apropos HOSTS, I have HOSTS defined within my LAN. I can 'ping printer' for example.
But when i type printer (the host) into OWB i end up with a google search for printer instead
of OWB being smart and adding a http:// in front of it and connect to the host.
Even iBrowse can do that ;)

And, not regarding OWB in the first place, it would be nice to be able to sort the hostlist via d&d instead of using a texteditor ;)

Well, either use the ip or add domain. When there's no dot, google search is triggered, on purpose. Of course, it should be checked if the entered word can be resolved before googling, but it's too much overhead.

And of course ib can do it, since it doesn't have that search feature.

Note: typing "y blah" in url field would run youtube search blah instead, and more generally "<shortcut defined in engines settings> word".
