I want to try assembler coding for the C64 with the help from vice.
Vice works ok,but I need a cartridge image for the machinecode.
I tried The final cartridge 3 but can't seem to get the pointer to move to select basic and then goto monitor by typing MON..if I am correct?
Is there no image off a cartridge which does functionkeys or starts in Basic....
The build in machine code program off vice uses another syntax ...?

You could try Action Replay 6, it has a menu that works with functionkeys.

I also think there was a keyboard shortcut in Final Cartridge 3 that got you in to Basic, but it's been 15 years since I used one, so I can't remember :(

It's a lot easier if you use a cross assembler, such as cc65. That's what I used for my Payback 2013 intro.

Of course it's way more oldskool doing it with a machine code monitor instead, but if you just want to "do as you would on a real C64", then you could still use assembler.

And yes, you can also use vice's machine code monitor, I don't think that's much different from what Action Replay VI offers anyways.

I programmed all my assembly using moses64.
I am sure you can find a copy out there somewhere or I can mail it to you.
