    PLUG and PRAY setup :-D

It was an Ebay bargain and 160Gb back-up to the MINI.

The first attempt was on the PowerBook because at the time it had OS 3.1 and the Ultimate Pack.

Inoke the C:> helios_rom_start and behold the drive Unnamed appeared on the PowerBook :-P

    Now What?

I tried to name it but NOOOOOOOO! it was write protected??

I couldnt format it ...Ambient was ready but Noooooooo?

Was there a magic Write Protect Tab like the old floppies???

Fiddle some more and lost the Disk Icon :-x

Cried a little and took it over to the newly upgraded 2.4 to 3.1 mini

Dual boot to the the mac side to see if I had fried the Lacie.

Nope it was there but only 300mb not 160gb and write protected.

The Mac side has a disk utilty program and I was able some how to unmount it?

Sitting quietly in the corner waiting for a blue butterfly or Kronos to dry my tears :-o

The Library has a tutorial on setting up an external USB drive. Will see if it can also do an external firewire drive?
It recomends a fat 32 format done on another OS
