Hello guys, the other day i was working under osx and power off the system as always, but the next day i noticed it went all the way directly to morphos, so i checked with alt key pressed and saw a folder with ?? and the face of the finder. I have tried to access the partition with no luck. Anyone with a possible solution?. There is some data i have on the osx partition i can't lost!. Mos partition is fine, in fact im posting from there.
    Thanks in advance!!!

You could try mounting the OSX partition under MorphOS using sys:tools/mounter to obtain your data, then copy it to some:where/else.

Assuming that OSX is installed on an HFS+ partition, this will be mounted read-only, but at least this will allow you to get the data.

I do this a lot and copy the the data in Ram: and then elsewhere on morphos.
    Did you get your data?

Hello, thanks for the replies. I tried to mount it under mounter, and it mounts it, but no icon appear on workbench, and when trying to do a dir from the shell i get the message "Not a valid DOS disk", and can't do anything.
    Is the partition really trashed?

Try elsewhere to find the icon not the workbench but
    in "My MorphOS" directory.
    :-D

You could try forcing the filesystem it mounts as. Select "Mac HFS+" rather than "Auto detect" from mounter. It might work. Won't do any harm at least.

Alternatively this page may be of help to try and repair the partition.

I tried your suggestions and no luck. Also checked the page, bootwb, but was out of luck again. Maybe it can be solved with a utility called Disk Warrior, the drawback is that isn't freware...
Will try to get a copy and boot with it, then fingers crossed for the results...

Well, tried DiskWarrior and it done a kind of recuperation, but data was all screwed, so finally the data is trashed. Will need to reinstall os again. Luckily Mos is alive and kicking...
Seems that when a partition vanishes like that, there isn't software to recover it :-x .
Thanks all for the tips and suggestions!

What do you think it was? Hardware or software. I have also a dual boot mini. It has problems on the X side but the MorphOS has been stable! I have two PowerBooks and maybe one will be a dedicated Morph. What is your hard drive? how old? Looking at SSD
