    Has anyone tried OpenBOR for MorphOS?

    I tried it on my Pegasos1 system (256 RAM). I downloaded the application and the PowerSDL -yes it is needed- from MorphOS-Files.

    OpenBOR:

    http://www.morphos-files.net/download/OpenBOR

    PowerSDL:

    http://www.morphos-files.net/download/PowerSDL

    The games load very slowly.... and at the end the system remains stuck on the Loading... screen.

    I have read about the slow-loading times but there are references about 2 or 4 min for each game....

    I waited much longer....

    Any ideas?

    ps. On my system I have installed the Pack ultimate for MorphOS 2.7 (I am mentioning it just in case)...

    Did the same here on my Pegasos II. Slow loading and then almost freezed system: game had an average speed of 1 or 2 fpm (read: frame per month :-) ) and I have no ultimate pack installed. I can't examine anymore since I've erased the whole thing...

    Powermac G5 dual 2.7 ghz I'll be back...

    I tried it a lot of time ago and if I remember well it was slow here too, most of all loading times. And if I am correct an older version of it was strangely faster.

    Will check it in free time, but cannot guarantee when/if/about speed, etc :)

    Its from a new Version for OS4 but Huno made a a port of
    GngeoNG for OS4 and Morphos, so I would not be surprised if
    this will be released for both platforms as well.

    @Count

    Bro, you can forget oBOR for all amiga-like ng systems :(
    Same performance issues (extreme loading times, lock ups, slow fps rate) can be found on both MOS and AOS alike (on AOS I had also usb drop outs on my joysticks but that could be caused by AmigaInput).
    Furthermore the engine isn't that lightweight, it nearly crashes my Core2Duo 2.4Ghz (on Vista and 7) while playing some of its mods (e.g. Rhythm of Destruction, which is awesome btw).
    The only solution for the time being is to play it on a >1.5Ghz x86 / Win combo (console versions don't support the whole list of mods).

    checked it out and it works fine for me, not sure how fast you need it, but it was definately
    playable. It loads up about 1-1:30-2:00 mins. I was on mac mini 1.5mhz MOS V2.7

    @Cool_Amigan

    Yes I tried the AOS version o SAM 440EP with same results :(
    Have not yet tried yet under MorphOS on MacMini, perhaps the 1.5Ghz of this machine is enough power, I will check it...

    But I wish it was playable on smaller machines...

    Cool video, wish this would be playable on all the NG machines.
