So yea, I installed 2.7 on a 1.4ghz G4 Mac Mini w/1gb RAM. When I run OWB my screen flickers and the system runs pretty slow. Is it a 2.7 issue or is OWB flakey?

Also, this "Ultimate" software pack should I download and install it?

When is the sale price on MOS? Ie. $100 USD?

oh and BTW, good job on 2.7. I broke out my 1.4 MOS backup and tried running some old software, it worked well. All in all, you did a great job. After all these years you're hanging in there.

I think it's because you are low on videomemory . Try setting your screen to less colors and see what it does.

First, try to disable "enhanced display" (MorphOS Preferences -> Screen). If it doesn't help your screen is probably too big ;). OWB uses vram and MorphOS doesn't support AGP, so if you run out of vmem system chokes.
You can check your free vmem by enabling Graphicsmemory module or configuring Titlebar to show it (RMB on screenchanging gadget).

    P.S: 16 bit modes suck.

Pack Ultima should ONLY be installed on a fresh MorphOS2.7 and it will change alot of things in your setup.

I had it for a short time on this PowerMac and it was nice in having all SW set up for me, but that also included a lot of trash and somehow many broken catalogs (french string here and there).
So I removed it when I made it my main MorphOS-system (and since I have access to the beta of some package-manager I will probraly never go back).

Or short, if you only want a limited amount of apps, tools and games installed and know how to do that yourself better stick to that.

Edit: MorphOS has been on "sale" for quite a while at 111Euro (which will translate rather painfully into american zloty.....).

    EDIT:
Yea, I'll register this after about a month of "testing". :) So far I'm pleased.

Are they in the screenbar ?

Right-Click the screen-depth gadget go "modules" and disable them.

AGP works in PCI mode now. New drivers were shown at various events, so it will be supported someday.

Probably to be included in MorphOS 2.8:

While you're there it may be a good idea to add the Graphics Memory guage, that way you can see if you are running out of Chip Ram graphics Ram.

The Mini is a nice little machine, but the 32mb of ram on most of the models is a bit of a drawback, hopefully this 'AGP', will make life easier in the future, This is all news to me BTW.

I believe when I installed Ultimate pack that it added quite a few things into the taskbar. One of them was memory usage.
