Hey morphers

I just downloaded AmiIRC v3.5 and Registered the keyfile. I unarced it and tried to run the installer and it was acting crazy. It was asking me to assign MUI and then said I was missing something else, and then it froze. I tried to launch AmiIRC from the icon but it wouldnt load.

Please help me on this someone.. I've been using Web irc too long.

Nah... :)

1. Don't use the installer! Installer sucks and must die!

2. get your MOS1.3 CD and extract AmIRC3.5 archive to ram

lha x AmiIRC35.lha ram:

(You'll find it in contribution/vapor drawer. Use show all files)

3. Copy the drawer to the destination on your HDD.

4. Copy your keyfile in the new AmIRC Drawer of your HDD.

5. Start AmIRC.

6. Don't use Installer!!!!





7. If u want u can also unarchive a new beta archive e.g. AmIRC 3.5.25, you'll find them also on your MOS1.3 cd in the contributions/vapor drawer. Just unlzx them and copy the extracted file over the old 3.5 executable.

e.g. "copy ram:AmIRC to work:net/amirc/amirc"

No, that's okay...

AFAIK just small things have changed in latest beta. Best is to look to the history file.

iirc, most "significant" additions to the newest beta were few rather annoying bugs
