As I've released Helios I've got some time on Blender :-)
After successfully rebuild it using the SDK 2.1, I've found the pb.
I'm working on the fix, but after 3 o'clock am, my eyes have closed automatically...

I'll try again this evening and I hope to give you something in the same time. It will be better to edit video with a GUI.
    And now... next project!

I've found all pb of Blender with the sequencer panel (video editing).
    - first most of crashes were due to a bad usage of the timer.device (fixed). (That doesn't say all crashes are removed :-D)
    - then Blender code itself doesn't handle well gfx card where pixels buffers are npot sized (npot = non-power-of-two). I've entered a bug report on the official blender 2.5 bug tracker. I've talked about it to a blender coders... now waiting for the official response.
Until that I need to temporary fix the code myself.

First the firewire stack you created that nobody said could be done, now a nice GUI video editing system for Morphos! If you could get the Blender editor working that would be really cool.

@Magnetic: Ask my prince and your dream comes true....

    @all:

Please to overwrite the full blender 2.5alpha2 archive here:
    http://www.yomgui.fr/blender/blender-2.5alpha2-test-mos.lha

By using the fixed binaries here:
    http://www.yomgui.fr/blender/blender_2.52_update_r128.lha

I've made an interesting video with my HV30 dvcam and helios to shoot a Blender video editing session. The final footage has been also edited on MorphOS... (everything on MorphOS).

My video demonstation (check the HTML5 switch on the bottom-right of the page for no-flash browsing):

Note: for saving animation, currently only AVI raw, AVI JPEG and MPEG video formats work. Not H.264, Xvid and OggTheora (something wrong with FFMPEG).

Oh shit, this is amazing stuff! Where are MorphOS limits, where?!

(hint: it's all in the coder's ability)
