Actually, the truth is much more mundane. They are shooting for the upcoming X1000 public demo and wanted a bit of soak time.
What is really funny is that some AmigaOS guys do the exact same thing as the MorphOS guys. Compare dates of announcements and make the leap that one side cares about the other side. Heck, even I thought some MorphOS announcements in the past came awfully close to some AmigaOS announcements but I've since grown out of that phase. Seriously, just enjoy your platform of choice and stop worrying so much about what the other guys are doing.
There is no conspiracy but of course I fully expect some will call me a part of that conspiracy theory but so be it.
