    Hi,

Could somebody give me a quick description about how to set the screensettings? I am trying some things out and I want to make sure I am doing the right stuff. :-)

    @ Coder,

I'm not sure, whether I understood your question right, but creating
screens is done in two parts.

    1. Define screenmodes that you need
You'll do this one using "System Settings.../Mode Edit" .
Here you can define screenmodes accordingly to the gfx-card/monitor
    you are using.

    2. Define screens that you are using
This one will be done using "System Settings.../ScreenMode".
Here you have a database with all defined screens. One screen called
"Ambient" should be already in it. If you want Ambient to have another
screenmode you just edit it and choose a screenmode you defined before
    as mentioned above.
I also defined another screen called "Browser" which uses the same
screenmode as Ambient does, but in the MUI settings of Voyager and
IBrowse (Screen entry) I choose to open windows on "customized public
screen from MUI screen database" where I selected this "Browser"
    entry.

    @HAK

The "Ambient" is there in the screenmode and that I can change to my wishes and use it. But if I make a new one there is no way I can use it. If I say use it seems to be doing something but it stays on the old settings.

    @ Coder,

I assume that with "make a new one" you refer to making a new entry
    into the screen database.
I further assume you selected a name, display mode etc. and then saved
the settings, so that after a reset this entry is still in the screen
    database.

What you need now is a MUI application (carefully, this does not work
with system windows e.g. "About", "Exchange", "Ambient Settings.." as
they always go back to the Ambient screen) like Miami.
If you look at the MUI settings of this application there is an entry
"Screen" (should be the 2nd entry"). Here you can decide, on which
screen this application should open it's windows.
Just select "customized public screen...." from the radio buttons and
in the list below you should see all screens you defined in the
"System settings.../ScreenMode". Just select the screen you want this
    application appear and then "Save".

Well, this should be all you have to do.
