I used ANR years ago without problems on my old Amitlhon system, but trying to use the latest version from the author's website just won't play anything. I tried a very general search and it returns nothing. I've tried pasting in a URL from a radio station and nothing happens. The GUI seems responsive and the settings look accurate.

    Any ideas?

Try to launch ANR from Shell: AmiNetRadio URL http://demovibes.de:8000/necta192.mp3
    P.S: I don't use ANR really.

I had once the same problem, just couldn't have ANR play anything... whatever I tried it didn't work! Then I deleted the existing config and after this it worked again. I use it every day now without any problems.

This kind of questions are easy solved by running Snoopdos or Snoopiium. You are obviosly missing a library or some classes (mui maybe). Check the error-log of one of the mentioned programs and I'll think you are soon up running. BTW On your Amithlon system you have to consider your system as an 68K. Just to keep in mind.

    BTW:
The shoutcast search works after putting in "http://207.200.98.25" in to the settings of it.
(At the moment). This could ofcause change in the future... (works today 12.03.2010)

In fact you should just put http://classic.shoutcast.com into the Misc tab/Shout-Search Proxy string gadget.

    A-Ha!

I guess the solution was as easy as adding a server in the shoutcast server gadget. Suggestions for this would be nice in the guide. As it is, it states: "Proxy: Lets you enter a http proxy for shoutcast searches." It would be nice if it mentioned a possible list of servers to try. Otherwise, I had a non-functioning shoutcast search and no reason why.

And Snoopium would not have figured out this particular problem.

    Thanks for the server tip.

I don't think it will ever be mentioned in the guide. The workaround became necessary years after the guide of current ANR version was written (2008 vs. 2005). And a new version of ANR would either implement the workaround by itself or parse the current shoutcast.com format correctly, I guess.
