Strange you all can't play it with mplayer. I played it with my CDRewriter configured as Master on the second IDE connector. I did a fresh install of MOS1.4 and installed mplayer on it.
Perhaps you could try te reconfigure your IDE-stuff or if it's possible another CDROM drive.
