The standard MorphOS pointer is replaced by the text editor's cursor when using YAM on its own screen. Any ideas why this would be?

I had similar problem when switching to a newer version of MUI custom class (I don't remember which one it was, though). Have you recently updated the mcc's?

Jeez, I have 118 classes in my directory, not including the ones in MOSSYS:Classes/MUI. Of those, 13 are from October 2009 or later. They are:

    BetterSting.mcc
    HotKeyString.mcc
    NBalance.mcc
    NFloatText.mcc
    NBitmap.mcc
    NListtree.mcc
    NListview.mcc
    NList.mcc
    TextEditor.mcc
    TheButton.mcc
    TheBarVirt.mcc
    TheBar.mcc
    BetterBalance.mcc

Would any of these be doing it?

    And the winner is...

    ...NList.mcc ver 20.121.

At least in my case. Switching back to 20.120 does the trick.

The custom pointer does not depend on a custom screen, but on your settings for the corresponding class.

Currently BetterString.mcc, NList.mcc, NBalance.mcc and TextEditor.mcc offer these custom pointers all of which can be (de)activated separately as you like. Just go to the individual preference modules and adapt your settings accordingly.

    @tboeckel

These classes should use the built-in mouse pointers included in MorphOS though...

They do. But as far as I understood Travis_H's wants to disable the custom pointers completely.

I looked through the separate settings and unchecked the pointer selection in two of the four custom classes (YAM froze with an exception when unchecking the one in TextEditor). I'm not sure which one did the trick, but the pointer now behaves normally in YAM.

    Thanks,

Strange, my Yam also froze when changing those settings but it works for me too.
