    Hi,

I have a problem here, I added to a panel Bookmarks. The Bookmarks are partitions and I'd like them to open in "List" and "All files" mode on snapshoted place on Ambient but it opens everytime in "Icon" and "Icons" mode in the middle of the screen. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Also, what would be the name of the icon? Is it def_bookmarks.info in Deficons?

    Thanks for help.

Hi RMS and Happy New Year!
As I see there's no way to configure the Bookmarks in Ambient prefs. But you can solve (almost) in another way.
    Download this:
    QOpenWB
It's a command created by Ilkka Lehtoranta that extend the normal Shell command "Open", allowing to add some
parameters like 'SHOWALL' and 'LISTVIEW'. Using a little script file you can open what you want.
For example: QOpenWB DH3:MyFolder/MyFiles SHOWALL LISTVIEW
Save the file, make it a script file and save it where you like (you can create an oppotune directory for those files).
Then set the bookmark due to execute this script and you will see the fullpath list will open after a click.
I wasn't able to modify size and position... sorry!
The icon used was present in MorphOS 1.4.5 (MOSSYS:Ambient/Images) and was named "def-view.png" and it had no arrow above. I didn't find it in MorphOS 2.4.. I don't know where it could be...

    @rms
Go to Ambient settings -> bookmarks
Select the name you want to change
at the location type something like this:
    MorphOS:?view=List&mode=ALL&top=150&left=150&width=400&height=300
unfortunately it does not read the snapshoted position, but doing it this way you can type it manually at least:)

    @ Jambalah and dake

Thanks very much for these infos, this is really great!!! :-) It's even better that the top, left, height and width are entered because as these are LAN partitions the windows open on very Pegasos the same way.

    Thanks again.

Hi all, entering postion and size info e. g. like this:

    PM1-Clients:?view=List&mode=ALL&top=180&left=240&width=540&height=740

    works fine!

Now I would also need to enter the sorting information, like sorting by Date or sorting by Name from A>Z or the other way round from Z>A.

Does anyone know if this is also possible?

Thnaks in advance for your help.

    Best regards

    Christoph
