Is there a way to cut a .avi file in two with mencoder?
Or another way to shrink it's size to get it through the email?
It's about 20MB now too big for mailbox.
It is a video taken with a digital camera.
Mplayer plays it with ffmjpeg video codec.
It has a video bitrate off 2449 kbps
resolution is 320 x 240
frames per second 30
aspect 0.0

audio is ulaw audio codec
audio bitrate is 88 kbps
audiosamples 11 KHz,mono

I downloaded the mengui tried different settings for example tried rotating but saved file (after pressing encode )is not rotated.
And there is a crop function maybe this is usefull to shrink the video's format?
But is has four parameters: width height x y ?
But setting some numbers doesnt change the output file.

Very easy to do with mencoder.

For each segment you want to generate :
mencoder -ss <start position in hh:mm:ss format, for instance> -endpos <duration in hh:mm:ss format> yourfile -o output.avi -ovc copy -oac copy

(Or something like that, didn't check).

And about crop filter (just like the other filters), it works for sure. :)
