recording swf files

    I want to record a swf file from the mtv site.
    In particular the fur tv episodes.
    Is there a way with morphos?
    Or with XP somehow?
    I found a download somewhere else but these are not to great woth resolution.

    I have not looked at the file or the site but chances are that the swf file is nothing more than a container/placeholder and player to play the video file which most certainly is a flv file.

    You could try your luck with Hidownload on Windows, which is a very competent app for saving streamed data. It is very intelligent and it can spoof as browsers or other applications like winamp. I have had much use for this app.

    At first, I thought that "wget" does have the ability to download also from streaming protocols, but it doesn't, as far as I know.
    But MPlayer is able to do so, and you can ask it to save the stream instead of showing it.
    But then I realized you are talking about ShockWave/Flash content. Perhaps, it's the case of streaming inside a Flash applet, which I don't think is easily trappable. But, if Tubexx is able to grab YouTube videos...

    If, on winxp, you run firefox, you could try VideoDownloader a plugin that also has a conversion tool available. I do not know of a comparable application for MorphOS as of yet.
