The broken Pegasos was not the reason for the progress stop, it rather was supposed to be the reason for lack of a MorphOS native fix. An m68k native fix was supposed to be released nonetheless.

They had some but they're not online anymore. Last incarnations preserved by the Wayback Machine:

All I can say is I'd like to start coding a spreadsheet app ASAP.

I still have weird connectivity problems, to be fixed next Tuesday and thereafter I'll start looking around about my future MOS dev framework.

There are many factors here, libraries' availability, source c-compiling efficiency, licensing, API accessibility etc. Fortunately I will have pretty much of my spare time devoted on it now.

Do not want to be hung for it, still, but I can say that unless something realy nasty happens, MorphOS will have an Excel-like (simple) application in January 2010. I'll do my best to deliver one about that time, the issue is the features' #.
Was: Mac Mini PPC running MorphOS 2.4
Now: Amiga Forever 2010 with AmiKit and AmigaSYS
Not used: Icaros Desktop 1.2 (reason: no wifi)
    Planned soon: an OS4 system
Shortly then: a MOS notebook (wifi is a must-have)

DiskDoctor, ah that was another thing that Papyrus did: spreadsheets. It was a full program. If you have some programming skills, maybe you could take over Papyrus development instead of coding a new spreadsheet app.

I recall Papyrus as Mac or Mobile Office suite.

I'm thinking of a spreadsheet yet, I like to code in Python, so I pretty much wish to do it on my own. An app is meant to be simple, I/O compatible with MS Excel (xls), also oocalc maybe, simple formulas, possibly graphics, csv/txt import. Also any other MorphOS platform-wise standards as input.

    Phew.. that's the plan.

I will try to benefit from independent (read: non-MS) spreadsheets for Apple:

I planned to write that software two years ago but before I even started, Apple released this:
