Ok.. Today I found a SBLive at lower cost and I bought it. Installed it, tried live Mixer and it found the card.
I have a normal 2.1 speakers system (a sub and two satellites) and I tried to connect to the card.
I opened configuration window and selected emu10k mode (16 bit stereo ++) and saved. Tried some music (cd player, ANR, AmigaAMP)
but I heard no sound at all. Well I thought I connected speakers in a wrong way so I changed connector position on the fly freezing system.
I booted again and... surprise! Opening config window and selecting AHI the emu10k modes are missing! Disappeared!!! Trying to start LiveMixer again
"unable to open DEVS:AHI/emu10kx.audio".. I checked: it is there!
What the f:xxx: is happened?!? :-?

    Hi Jamabalh

this same thing happened to me. I think my card died, so I replaced SBLive with a new one. Does it appear with PCIInfo? Mine didn't cause it was dead

yes Soundblaster live WITH EMU 10k CHIP ONLY (a lot of sb lives DO NOT have this chip its another check your board ) if it does it works OOTB on M2 and pegasos2. Mine did, however I do have an issue with low volume that mos team are aware of and will be fixed in the next release afaik.

Chip marked with "Creative EMU10K1-SEF". MOS recognised it and showed some EMU10K modes in AHI config. But I didn't hear any sound at all.. Then after a pair of freezes emu10k audiomodes disappeared and livemixer didn't find the board anymore. I couldn't check with PCIInfo, as suggested by diezi7, because of general fault of Peg...
Well... C'mon... I will solve it!

Maybe you could get to OF and watch if it's listed as PCI Device.
I hope you can restore your Peg, good luck !

Maybe your SBLive died if it wasn't correctly inserted
onto de PCI slot. It's easy, you can replace it with
another one ;-DD They are quite cheap and easy
    to find
