Dont try SDL games. They use dynamic linking and it is not supported by OS4Emu.

SDL games won't work. But hey why would you want to run an sdl port if you can have it native on mos? OK this one not yet but maybe someone ports it now. ;-)

    So OWB won't run?
I just tried these Games and OWB because these are the only Programms that are not available on MOS and i won't to try.

OWB probably uses dynamically linked objects. I havent tried or checked but I suspect it does. OS4Emu does not support dynamic linking.

Cygnix should work but according to reports it there is something which fails in OS4Emu. I didnt have time to check it out and installing 40MB app just to try it out does not appeal much.

Anyway I am in Holland this week and cant do much...

Why the hell do you want to wrap fpse with OS4emu, when it exists allready as a native MorphOS Port?!

Please read the compatibility page first, it tells you that TuneNet does not work.

I guess we will enhance the list with the community results.

The good question we have to ask to ourselves is :
Which GOOD applications exists on OS4 and not on MOS.
This applications are the only reasons to use OS4emu.

my answer is Abiword and The Gimp. Both working on X11 Cygnix world.

And you, which are your favorite OS4 applications?

    @itix

May I come with a suggestion?

Wouldn't it be useful if the OS4Emu version numbers followed the version number of the OS4 it supports? For clarity reasons?

For instance, OS4Emu that supports OS4.1 could have the version number 4.1. Or if a *sequence* of releases will be necessary it would be 4.1.1, 4.1.2, etc?

    Thanks for your efforts!

wow, that is pretty cool that they have The Gimp for OS4 along w/gnumeric.

How does all that work on OS4 (I know the cygwin thing)..but is that something running on top of OS4? Can you run OS4 apps while using The Gimp and other X11 software?

OS4Emu doesn't yet support anything from OS4.1 anyway.

Cygnix opens a normal intuition screen on which all X11 apps run. The actual apps run as normal Amiga processes, and so happily run alongside "fully native" apps without problem.
