Is it not possible to send a directory including it's contents through email?
When I use YAM and I drop a dir into the attachementwindow it only show it's contents.
Simplemail seems to do the same thing.

Compress the directory and its contents in an archive, with lha for instance. Then attach the archive to your email message.

This is the main reason why archiving tools exist (the other reason is data compression).

I tried compressing the whole directory and SimpleMAil sent it. When it will arrive to destination you'd only un-lha.
Pay attention to big directories: I tried with a 9.8 meg of dir and SimpleMail didn't send it.
Maybe I exceeded with lenght of file limit.

    Bye

Note that lha is aware of Amiga attributes (filenotes and the hspa bits besides the usual rwed bits), so the receiver of your archive will be able to retrieve this information.

Other tools ported from the Linux world simply ignore those data.

Zip from Info-ZIP is able to store filenotes with '-N' option.
