    I would strongly advice against that as such a release would be illegal/undistributable (the AMR license does not mix well with GPL). If you really wanted AMR decoding you should have joined the Google Summer of Code program...

    I left by mistake a config file that forces some particular overlay mode that won't work on voodoo for instance. In next version i'll autodetect it instead, it will be better.

    In the meanwhile, try editing conf/config and remove/comment the vo=cgx_overlay::PLANAR line.

    Check the Readme, and TDMPlayer GUI doesn't know the new dvdnav:// syntax. So you got do it by hand or wait for new TDM-Gui.

    Sorry to say I've found three major issues in this release compared to immediately previous one:

    1) Now it requires a running TCP/IP stack even for playing local files;

    2) Support for 3GP is gone:

    Hanami:movies/Amiga-MOS> mplayer EFIKA.3GP
    MPlayer dev-SVN-r26644-2.95.4 (C) 2000-2008 MPlayer Team

    Playing EFIKA.3GP.

    3) Support for RAM movies is broken:

    I tried the very same efika.3gp (i think) and it just worked here. Just in case, make sure you update codecs.conf.

    About the tcp stack requirement, it seems some recently added lib (fontconfig to name it) somehow requires usergroup.library, i'll try to get rid of that.

    [EDIT] i fixed that.

    About ram, i can indeed reproduce that, but the problem is very likely a current ffmpeg bug.

    [EDIT] using some older code about header decoding, it doesn't happen anymore, so it definitely looks like some ffmpeg bug. It happens with linux as well.

    There is another problem concerning MPlayer-1.0-svn-2008.05.06.

    Keypad keys "+" and "-" don't change the A-V delay, which remains fixed at 0 ms. Using MPlayer-1.0-svn-2008.04.30 those keys work.

    Indeed. That's a sideeffect of codepage support that also localizes decimal numbers. In input config file, some "x.y" value is written, but the parser expects some "x,y" localized decimal. As this is really unwanted, i'll rather disable this kind of localisation (introduced by iconv/libass support).

    Thank you very much for your quick reply and for your very useful work on MPlayer.

    Please note that 6 weeks ago I sent you a bug report concerning MEncoder but I had no reply. Did you receive my email, or should I send another one?

    @DoctorMorbius,

    I think i missed your mail, you can send it again.

    About the few bugs reported in this thread, and mainly for those it would concern, since they are quite minor:

    http://fabportnawak.free.fr/mplayer/MPlayer-1.0-svn-2008.05.11.lha

    - usergroup.library (and thus tcp stack) not required at init anymore.
    - fixed a ffmpeg bug in rv10 (.ram files) recognition that would cause a crash.
    - prevent mplayer from using localised float representation (that is , as decimal for instance). Should fix the bug with a-v delay hotkey and others.

    About the 3gp files, they work just fine (except those amr audio, but for licence reasons), so i didn't have to fix anything. :)

    Thanks fab for all your great work. But at my system, a PegII with G4 1Ghz and 512MB RAM, with Voodoo 3000 AGP card, the two latest versions are desperately slow. I can't watch any dvd at such a speed, around 1fps. But the version of 30/04 it gives a great speed, which makes my DVDs viewable, even that it loses the synchronization some times. Is there something that I should check? Maybe something that I might installed wrong?

    Thanks again for your great work.

    I would need both mplayer log and serial/ramdebug log. However, try something first: -vo cgx_overlay::NOPLANAR and tell me if it behaves differently.

    I have one problem on my system with the 3 latest releases.
    I have to start any applikation that opens an AHI Unit befor Mplayer or i got a raspy/noisy sound. And when i change the left and right arrow forward/backward time from 10sec. down to 5sec. evry time i press one of the buttons mplayer will repeat the last 1sec. of the sound played. Is that normal?

    As audio code wasn't changed since ages (except a slight buffer size adjustment), i'd say it's not normal.

    And about the second question, if cache is enabled i guess it might happen, though i don't notice that here.
