Sorry guyz, I'm not sure this is the correct section and I ignore if a topic of that just posted but... what about the possibility to compile a MOS version of the Second Life viewer, there's a opensource code of it in SL website. Actually all the platform viewers are only windowze, Mac and Linux(86). Here the links to SL viewer open source code:

It just depends from the 3D internal engine used by Second Life Viewer...

If it is used one 3D engine used already available into MorphOS, then any MorphOS programmer with some skills could do the porting.

If the internal 3D engine it is not supported by MorphOS, then it will be difficult, because the programmer should port the 3D engine first, and this fact could be very hard job...

Sure to have some chance to see Second Life world, or better, some chance to have a client for it in MorphOS this will increase our visibility worldwide and increase the interest for any future users of MorphOS to purchase it and join our club...

Unfortunately if you see many other threads, the morphos users are becoming like sitting ducks, and they are just satisfied with the 4 software programs we have as killer applications and that other platforms do not have...

Once I asked for the chance to evaluate if it could be possible to have VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) or H323 Phone Programs, such as Skype-like programs right on MorphOS...

Internet phone live calls t is sure a kind of software that it is FAR BETTER useful than 2nd Life viewer...

But all I received as answers, was only vague comments, and the thread regarding IP Phones raised no real interest by MorphOS users reading this forum.

    What a pity...
Bill Gates "Think!", Steve Jobs: "Think different!" So... Let these guy continue blabbering thinking and enjoy computing! We are on Amiga!

Spending time, money and effort for a stupid thing like Second Life is pure waste. To be honest, i don't think that SL is for normal, social people.

I would rather see amizilla, safari, or sputnik finished to finally buy efika.

Oh yes... Didn't you hear that all these with MOS2.0 will be completed in 'two more weeks' :-D

I respect your opinion but I like interact with people very far from my country (and I don't talk about virtual sex) and SL is more than a chat. I don't know if you get an experience about SL, but, for example you can hear live artists concerts (podcasting) and socialize with people with different culture as well, maybe that is not a fantastic thing but neither so stupid. ;-)

Well, i don't really know what podcasting is, so no comment on it. It sounds nice to watch live concerts which you can not attend.

My experience; installed it, played for 20 min and got bored to death. Went to drink a real coffee.

Six months later, did the same thing, got bored after 10 mins. Went over to beer, to stop getting crazy ideas :-D

OK, joking, but for me it is just a real pretty irc channel.

Sorry, i prefer drinking real coffee with real people. My favourite is to go to a bar and while drinking morning coffee, read newspapers and chat with waitress (my friends).

I would say though that it has the advantage over "real life" that no-one assaults you or robs you or even yells at you or makes fun of you for your appearance or whatever. So in some ways Second Life has advantages over real life.

Sorry, did you say that SL has advantage over real life!?!?

WOW.... So, virtual sex is better than real one? :-D

I really don't know where you live, but if you don't meet ppl for being robbed, or insulted... WOW... That is one really wrong perception or reality.
