I am using FXpaint so now and then.
But it won't work properly anymore.
It takes a very long time to start up (loading pens...) about 15 seconds..
ANd the textbrush doesn't want to work anymore.
It's gui works allright and I can choose a font but it just won't create a textbrush.
ALreay removed some libs of the OS4.0 emu stuff which helped a bit as before Fxpaint was freezing when applying textbrush.
    ANy idea's which does this?

If removing os4emu libs help I'd say your problem is os4emu (or rather, the LoadSeg patch, which is known to fubar a few things)...

Check s:user-startup for "C:PatchLoadSegOS4 >NIL:" and remove it.

It didn't work because off a faulty brush or pen it tried to load on startup.
After deletion off all my brushes/pens it starts up nicely and my textbrush works again.
    Hooray.

If loading pens is long, try to delete them in the menu "windows -> brush manager", and relaunch FxPaint.

    Thanks for the tip.
But deleting them in the dir is much faster.
You can't select multiple files in the brushmanager?
    Or can you?

No, you can select only one brush at a time.
