I have tried several d64 games which I have downloaded from several places which won't run on vice or frodo in morphos.
I wrote one d64 file (turrican 1) back to a C64 floppy with the help off a Amiga1200 a special cable and easy1541.
Works perfect on the real thing.
Why won't these games work on an emulator?
    Also tried swiv same problem.
They start to load but somewhere all these programs seem too stop loading/running.
Is it because it are cracks?/copy's or are they banging the hardware too much for an emulator?

    Changed nothing in the settings.
Just start vice and select autostart diskimage.
After selecting eg: turrican1.d64 it starts up until the loading rainbow turrican title and then freezes.
    About the same for swiv.d64.
On the real C64 this is where the crunching begins.
At least it looks like that on the screen.

Try to check "1541 emulation" settings for "Frodo". It works toooo slooowww with activated 1541 emulation (but it works). I can't say somthing about "VICE", it works fine.

Are these files .zip wich you unpack ? I had the same problem and when i chekced the protection bits in dopus, they were not marked with read write etc... (Just press the Protection I think Dopus).
