I finally got a working vice here on my peg2.
Games already included in the vice archive run just fine.
But what I actually wanted was a working vice enviroment for playing the good old turrican.
All turrican versions I downloaded until now don't work.
Are there working versions out there?
Would love to have a C64 1 2 and 3 turrican on my peg.

Have you set "True drive emulation" (or how ever it was written, at work, can't check) from menu? If I recall correctly, it's off by default, and many games don't work without it. Obviously it makes everything load slower, but that's (kind of) the point of it (and the reason why it's off)

Yes I checked this true drive emulation no good..
Can't get one turrican to go neither 1 2 or 3.
All other games start ok which I download.
I tried to write the .D64 back to 51/4 disk on my 1541-II with an amiga500 and a parallel cable.
Starts ok but then a lot off noise from the diskdrive so guess floppy no good and it is my only 51/4 disk..
Maybe these turricans are too much cracked?
Would an original copy do the trick?
    But where to find???

Usually originals work much worse (both on emulators and real hardware) due to various copy protection methods. But of course, some cracks work better than the others. Better try different one.

For copy of original, you could try the tape image, if you can find one. In such a "one level in memory at once" game tape media doesn't matter that much.

Sure you're loading the right file from the disk? In my old copy the first file was loading screen with loading music. The game had to be loaded from a different (non-first) file.

It's unofficial (but rather good) "fan-sequel", rather different from Turrican 3 on other platforms...
