About file conversion, be sure to check
media-convert.com. It does amazing things, with text, database, spreadsheets, image, sound, music and video. For example, I used it to successfully convert a "FLV" video (done in Flash, coming from YouTube) into MPEG4.
It's absolutely free, and they accept files up to 150 MB!
