I've downloaded Amidevcpp and gotten a ton of help from freenode #morphos, and after 3 days I've got a working binary made for MorphOS!

    Download the full package:
    http://aminet.net/comm/irc/wookiechat2_5.lha

Then grab this MOS executable + latest catalogs, and copy it to where you've installed WookieChat:
    http://wookiechat.amigarevolution.com/wookiechat/beta/

I hope it works okay, but knowing my luck it probably wont. :) Check it out!

P.S. For those who dont know, WookieChat is a program that allows you to connect to Internet Relay Chat networks (IRC!) and chat with other users in a text medium in real-time. Some of the server groups are preconfigured to join an Amiga chat channel upon sucessful connection.

    Nice!

Will have a play with it soon methinks.

Any chance of an AROS compile seeing as you are using DevCpp? ;-)

Thanks Jahc, that's really great news! I was already using the 68k-version (which already ran great), but will switch to the MOS-native version now. :-)
I wish more developers would show such an interest and openess towards different Amigaish platforms like you do!

    Hi all,

WookieChat seems flawlesly do it's job. I tested the programm.
The main reason i installed the programm is it's name and icon !
I'am registered for the good old 68K AmIRC, but replaced it with the Chewie !

I admit, that's the great advantage WookieChat has for beginners in the IRC world. But I've registered AmIRC for quite some time, and I'll continue using it. I like the handling of AmIRC. But as I said, WookieChat is great, too.

My hands are sore and weak from porting intensively to MOS and AROS the past few days.. My last session was from about 10pm to 3am.. So I'm just taking it easy at the moment. I'll try and fix the problems people have reported in a few days once some fitness returns to my fingers. :)

About my RSI: If I just use computers generally, my fitness does return slowly. It's only when I'm programming for hours and trying to achieve something that I start to get weak or sore. So dont worry about me, I'll be fine in a few days!

EDIT: I've fixed the issues that people have reported to me.. From the changelog:
    - Added sanity check for NULL objects when setting up and killing notifys on certain GUI elements. Switching to/from private tabs no longer crashes on MorphOS.

    Download from here:
    http://wookiechat.amigarevolution.com/wookiechat/beta/

EDIT2: Whoops! I forgot to compile with -noixemul. I've just uploaded the -noixemul compile now. Thank you to Framiga for pointing out my error. :)
