    Hi guys,
i would like mention and maybe solve a problem once more.

I am unable to get NFSD running with MOSNet,
with MiamiDX, its no problem at all.
I would stick to MiamiDX, but Samba is much more stable for me with MOSNet.

NFSD requires a running portmap from Amitcp.

If you start NFSD after Portmap with MOSNet,
Portmap goes in suspended mode at once.

    With Miami, this doesnt happen.

Somebody have an idea here? Im getting nuts.
Dont want to keep a pc running, just because i cant serve NFSD right with Monset.

    Thanks in advance

I am in a similar situation: I can't get Apache working with MOSnet. I have to use MiamiDX...

Ok, can you tell meg how to set inetd? I think you are using the inetd server from the AmiTCP archive. (Which version?)

http stream tcp nowait root Apache:bin/httpd

Thats the line of the inetd.conf

    AmiTCP/IP_inetd 4.7 (13.02.1996)

Is the Version String, its from the AmiTCP 4.3 Package.

Cant look for exact version atm, the machine seems to be down.
But its one of djbase's compiles of apache. I think without php.

But i will switch again to another version, as that one seems to generate alot of hits, atleast in inetd mode.

Are you sure, u didnt miss some config line, in httpd.conf or something?
It has to be configurated for inetd mode.
It may still be in stand alone mode.

    @all:
Nobody who can help me with portmap(nfsd) and MOSNet? :(

For me it was an easy decision...

Random network data corruption on "above average" network load:
    MiamiDX: YES
    MOSNet: NO

Yes, that's the reason why I want to change too.. (And maybe some speedup, 'cause I have full duplex 100mbit internet connection... ;) )

    Apache works fine with it:
    MiamiDX: YES (since 2001)
MOSnet: NO (it doesn't start at all or is unstable)

    :(

I am trying Mosnet now instead off miamidx.
    Much more speed with Ibrowse.
But mldonkey refuses to work with it.
Is this some setting/config which is wrong/missing?

this somehow sounds a bit like a usergroup library problem.
Have u set up all there? What happends when you start?

Well, to bad its not the problem on my side dawn it.
Maybe i should try amitcp again :)

How do I set up this usergroup lib?
Never setted anythinh with miamidx worked out off the box.

    comment with mldonkey:

The core is unable to get Edonkey serverlists and loading
torrent files via dllink from websites is also impossible.
If you are using MLdonkey in a chroot eviroment you should consider reading this article to get dns support back....

Have found the usergroup.lib on aminet.
    installed but same error.

well, when talking about speed issues, why is my dnetc download/upload so slow under mosnet, and so fast under miamidx? and why is mosnet so cpu hungry during download? i get about 30-40% cpu load when downloading via mosnet, and almost nothing with miamidx...

    bye, MarK.

To me it seems mosnet is much faster then miamidx.
    That is on a pegasos2.
Now I noticed not only mldonkey refuses to work but also sputnik doesn't start up.
It complains it wants usergroup.lib ver 0.
Is there a workaround for this usergroup lib thing?

If u ask me, it looks like u have an old usergroup.library somewere
    wich is loaded first

Compare the Usergroup Library in Memory with the Version String of the
    Mosnet One.
    usergroup.library 4.5 (15.12.2005)

Cant somebody, with an working User/Group enviroment under MOSNet
try if Portmap+nfsd works for him?

This would help me to find out, if its a configuration problem
or a problem with the stack.

    Run Portmap from Amitcp
If u dont have it, the demo version on aminet is enough
Ofcourse its necessary, that the assigns (amitcp) are right.

After that, run the nfsd daemon:

    http://www.kafsemo.org/nfsd/

When u configrate it right, which is easy to do,
    it should start up.

Now please check if portmap is suspended/crash with scout
This alwasy happends with my setup, but only under MOSNet.

This shouldnt take to long to check,
and u will know u could also use a digital settop
box for streaming TV, like me :))
