    It does not work for me.
    It moans about uaescsi.device

    will try AIAB soon. :)

    I think it might be quite slow
    running on Pegasos hardware.

    If it asks for uaescsi.device, then enable it in config file with:
    scsi=true
    scsi_device=ATAPI

    It should add scsi/ide support (mainly for cd support).

    I dont tryed Amikit, but AIAB. AIAB on UAE under morphos is extremly slow. It's unusable.
    I think it's the same thing for Amikit, or slower.

    Yes both are much to slow to be of any use. The best way to use E-UAE I have found is to write a script to launch it when you click on an ADF file for demo that requires it. Mine run in window mode, so it looks like the app is running native.

    With ambient, you can add actions to application/x-adf filetype. I made two, one for A1200 config and one for A500 config. The command is just something like:
    run >nil: programs:emulation/uae/uae -f a1200-hires.conf -0 %sp

    As you can see it only considers the first disk, so you would have to insert manually other disks later in the game, but whatever. :)

    This is not my cup of tea, but still I would think they would be more of use trough MorphOS trance then on uae... for games there's always minimum setups

    An Idea I got was using the 68k uae since it doesn't emulate the 68k processor it could use the trance jit..

    I examined this possibility for Basilisk II (which uses a UAE based 68k engine) but it is no go. They work differently and have different goals...

    @itix

    Since BasiliskII doesn't emulate custom chips I think that it could be easier on BasiliskII than on UAE.

    I wonder if it could be possible to trap illegal 68k instructions from Trance. I guess that it should be possible to be able to "pause" trance to be able to execute some other code and later continue the emulation.

    What problems did you find when you were thinking about it?

    -edit- uhhh ok... that wouldn't be a major problem but we would need to be able to catch the memory accesses to the first 4KB of ram and I don't think we can do that easily with the current API... a patched Trance that redirects the accesses to the first 4KB to other part of the memory may be enough.

    It is and not even difficult.

    There is nothing to do about it. Such changes into Trance wont be made and even if there existed public MMU API there are other restrictions why zeropage can't be used for user applications.
