I took the tv card out off my amiga4000 with mediator setup.
This was a working combination(tv card with BT878 chipset) no brandname.
Thought I could use it in my peg 2 to maybe record tv.
    But is not supported.
Tried this amithlontv but no go..
How can I tell what brand the card is?
And what is a good card for the peg?No fancy one just for tinkering.

    Hi

Well, have you tried Visionary? Maybe you have more luck with it.

I had a LifeViewII (sold to a friend) and now a Hauppage TV card in my Peg2 and both worked with AmithlonTV and Visionary.
There is also btr_8x8 available - though I never had much time to tinker with this one, as it was rather unstable for me.

I made snapshots with AmithlonTV and VHI-Studio; don't know whether there are other programs available.
VHI-Studio supports recording, unfortunately this is very unstable here.

Oh, there is also a program called ValiantVision in work - however, this one still takes some time AFAIK.

Concerning the brand of you TV-card: Maybe you have some luck if you try PciTool and it can give you some hints.

    Thanks for your tips.
Seems like my card ain't supported.
Tried all programs I could find.
But if recording ain't possible I'll stop the search here.
Too bad would made a nice "VCR"
