Ho, ho, hoooo! Merry Christmas people!

I want to congratulate with our cousins of AmigaOS, who received by Santa Claus the big surprise gift of a final version of their OS 4.0.

Now a pretty good resolution from MorphOS Team for the incoming new year 2007 will be to plain and announce the arrive of MorphOS 1.5.

Perhaps there is still Ephiphany time (6 January 2006) to receive good news from MOS side of the Amiga Galaxy!

And 6 January it is also greek Orthodox Christmas! it will be sure a beautiful long expected gift for all Pegasos users in Greek, Turkey, Poland, Czech, Hungary, Russia, and other Slavonic countries, and sure a pretty new gift for some people who bought Efika by having MorphOS in mind!

(and MOS 1.5 it will be a gift not only for Slavonic Orthodox! It is long expected by many, many other users also)

We all hope our side gets the pleasure of a new release as well. I also told all the OS4 types congrats with the release. Its a huge deal, its just a shame they have no hardwae other then what sold before Eyetech pulled the plug. Happy new year everyone too!

Hungary, Poland and probably a few more are indeed Roman Catholic, little or nothing to do with Orthodox Christmas Anyway, MOS1.5 would indeed be nice

AOS4 release was really dragged on for almost 5 years... Alternatives are always good to have - just in case. The same applies to MorphOS. The more advanced our alternatives are the better

Perhaps AFAIK Poland are slavonic but catholic, yes.

And regarding Hungary, I know it is a people with his language that is not indo-european if I remember well, but is it a cathlolic country?

Nothing personal, and also religious faith it is just a "feature" of the country...

...I think that there is nothing offensive to be Orthodox! Or perhaps someone here on Morphzone thinks so?

Oh, discussions on creed and ethnic purity ? how 20th century! You guys from the Eastern block really should begin to abandon such primitive debates. Afterall, you're part of the EU now. Time to step into the 21st century.

Anyway, I was really just wondering whether anyone has any information on compatible platforms? I remember Hyperion saying a while back that AOS4 would work with classic PPC hardware? Any chance of this Official release working with my 200MHz PPC card?

gah, well if it's not working with this first public release then I don't ever see it happening. Pitty, because I don't expect to see any new hardware manufactured either. I'm guessing AOS4 will only ever be seen by people who already own old AmigaOnes. That's just my impression of the situation, hopefully I'll be proved wrong.

As i know morphos1.5 is not as near form the end as you could know, many things are still in work , like mui4, poseidon, ambient.... too many things which are not finished so i juste hope for an annouce for the end of 2007, it's clear that the morphos team work for free, they are few (but great).
For me my 1.4.5 works well, i wait for Sputnik and maybe a Gnash port and a javappc port.
It will be nice to have a simplemail using khtml
