Have now been using MorphOS for almost 3 weeks but there's some things I need to solve

First, the AHI version that's already in MorphOS 1.4.5 is that the latest? (6.0)

And when I put in an audio cd there's no icon showing up on the desktop and music players like SongPlayer can't "find" any audio cd either
So what do I need to install/change for audio cd's to be recognized by the system?

dunno about the AHI version, maybe a newer one was released after the mos1.4.5 release. Just download the latest ahiusr archive for MorphOS from aminet and compare the versions strings to find out:

    > version full file mossys:devs/ahi.device

    etc.

About the audio cds. CDrive (the cdrom filesystem) from MOS 1.4.5 doesn't support audio cds. But that doesn't mean you can't use audio cds ;) I suggest you have a look at itixs CD Player (lehtoranta.net) or at optycdplayer (aminet). BUt also should work just out of the box with Kaya or Songplayer. You just need to configure for all these programs the correct device/ unit.

e.g. you have the CDROM connected to the 2nd ide port on your peg as master, then you would use ide.device unit 2. If you're not sure about the unit you can use SYS:tools/unitcontrol to find it out (it lists all connected ide/scsi hardware with proper device and unit).
    Hope that helps.

Make also sure that you have CDDA in your DosDrivers and CDDA-filesystem in L:

Just installed latest AHI, the file sizes differed so it must have been another version :D
Using MOS PowerUP here and all devices are connected to my UWSCSI on my Cyberstorm PPC
I'll give those cd players a go ;)

Songplayer was set to use cybppc.device, unit 4 which is the ID of my cd-rom

hmmm...put the cdda.device in devs:dosdrivers after editing it to point at my cd-rom (cybppc.device, 4)
and the CDDA filesystem in L:
But when the cdda.device is mounted I just get a copy of my ramdisk icon on my desktop, lol :-?
